A fun exploration of Pokemon Go via Google Trends quickly took a turn for the depressing the other day (I originally posted this on th 18th July 2016).
Initially, we struggled to find a term more popular than “Pokemon Go” initially until we struck upon “jobs”:
However, even jobs couldn’t hold a flame to the web’s favourite topic, “porn”. At least some things are constant in this life 😛
Things took a turn for the depressing though when I started looking by location. South Africa is tops globally for searches containing “jobs”:
…and we are third highest for “porn”:
…and seventh highest for “beer” (I saw some research the other day saying that we drink more beer than water):
